Associated Pathologists, P.A. announces an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished group practice executive to serve as Practice Administrator.
Associated Pathologists is recognized as a physician-owned and directed pathology specialty group providing high quality service to hospitals throughout the Tampa Bay community. The group provides hospital-based pathology/laboratory services to nine hospitals with a combined bed capacity of over 1900 beds within a large multi-specialty hospital system. The Practice Administrator is responsible and accountable for the administration and coordination of all practice operations to enhance Associated Pathologist’s position as a well-managed, highly effective and competitive pathology services provider.
Working in concert with the physician Group President, the Practice Administrator will develop and implement policies, procedures, systems and budgets to ensure the efficient operation of the practice and all supporting infrastructure. The Practice Administrator will establish and maintain effective working relationships with physician shareholders, providers and staff and serve as the organization’s administrative liaison to hospital and laboratory administration. The Practice Administrator will provide leadership and direction for operational functions including financial management, information systems, strategic planning, interdepartmental relationships, marketing and public relations, contracting and legal matters, billing and human resources.
Associated Pathologists includes 15 full and part-time, board certified pathologists, 6 Pathology Assistants and 14 staff employees in our own billing office. Associated Pathologists provide the most current and innovatively accepted practice standards, highest quality of clinical care and excellent service to our patients and hospital organizations.

The successful candidate will have an MBA, MHA or equivalent degree with 5 to 10 years of professional leadership and management experience in a large, multi-location physician group practice. Extensive experience with physician practice management, achieving operational and financial targets, and proven success in developing and sustaining relationships with physician shareholders and client organizations are essential. Extensive knowledge of pathology and/or laboratory operations is desired. MGMA ACMPE Board Certification is highly desirable.
