Providence is calling a Neurosurgical Fellow - JWCI Medical Postgraduate Education - ( Full Time / Variable Shift ) to Providence John Wayne Cancer Institute Santa Monica, CA.
In this position you will:
The Neuro-Endocrine Tumor Center at Saint John's Health Center was established in July 2007. One of the original missions of the NETC was to establish a fellowship in neurological surgery focused on minimally invasive treatment of brain, pituitary and skull base tumors. The fellowship will be administered jointly by Saint John's Health Center and the John Wayne Cancer Institute and will utilize the infrastructure and support already in place for the JWCI Surgical Oncology Fellowship.
The fellowship will provide an important training mechanism for neurosurgeons interested in learning state-of-the-art minimally invasive intracranial surgical techniques and multi-modality care of patients with brain, pituitary and skull base tumors.
The training experience will provide excellent preparation for a career in either an academic or clinical neurosurgical practice.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Board eligible in general surgery
Eligible for a California medical license.
