Under the general direction of the Director of Clinical Research at Indian River Medical Center (IRMC), the Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for the conduct of research activities throughout IRMC. The clinical research nurse ensures that research is conducted in accordance with established standards by working with clinical investigators to coordinate study related activities. These activities will be clinical, financial, regulatory and administrative in nature.The Clinical Research Nurse will maintain knowledge of clinical practice standards, nursing practice standards, JCAHO related safety requirements, OHRP requirements, human subject protection standards, and all institutional policies and procedures.
Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize simultaneous tasks. Phlebotomy and EKG skills. Exceptional nursing assessment skills. Experience in developing business documents. Strong proficiency in all Microsoft products. Detail-oriented. High level of technology skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, copier, printer and fax. Self-motivator, reliable, and self-discipline.
(2-3) years’ clinical research experience preferred
(2-3) years direct bedside nursing; critical care and oncology nursing preferred
